Dr. Öykü Özbörü Aşkan

I was born on June 9, 1983. After graduating from Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School, I completed my medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.

My Goal

In my clinical work, my goal is to support children’s healthy growth and development while offering families a safe and inclusive sense of guidance, so that they do not feel alone.

2001-2008 | Medical Education (Undergraduate & Master’s Degree)

After graduating from Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School, I completed my medical education here.

2008-2013 | Residency Training

Zeynep Kamil Women’s and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital

I completed my specialization training in Pediatrics.

2013-2015 | Mandatory Service - Adıyaman Kahta

Kahta State Hospital

An experience that deeply shaped my perspective on medicine and taught me most powerfully that child health should be approached holistically, not only through illnesses, but together with environmental conditions and family dynamics.

2015-2020 | PhD

Istanbul University Social Pediatrics Doctoral Program

I focused on academic and field studies addressing child health through nutrition, immunization, development, environment, family, and social dimensions.

2021-2025 | Faculty Member

I continued learning and creating together with both students and families.
